Arch Insurance (EU) DAC trading as Alywn Insurance, is based in Dublin with branch offices in the UK and select EU locations. Originally formed and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland to write Class 14 (Credit) and Class 15 (Surety) business, it was recently authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland to write all classes of business (excluding Class 18 – Assistance) and commenced writing in March 2019.

It has an A rating from Standard & Poor’s. It is a separate part of the Arch group from Alwyn Insurance Company who remain trading into the UK from its Gibraltar base.

Arch Insurance (EU) DAC is a 100% subsidiary of the Arch Reinsurance Group. The Arch Group are based in Bermuda and have assets of $11bn, with a A+ rating from Standard & Poor’s, AM Best and Fitch, and an A2 rating from Moody’s.
